A novel bacterium, Kluyvera ascorbata, isolated from the invasive plant Eupatorium adenophorum, produces methyl indole-3-acetate (MeIAA). This compound acts as a potent bioherbicide, disrupting plant growth and offering a new biocontrol strategy.
